Take Me to Your Reader

The brief was simple, create a tote bag with the phrase “Take me to your Reader!” and incorporate a cute Alien. My take: The original phrase Take me to your Leader comes from the 50s which automatically puts my head into that frame of mind when it comes to design and illustration direction. I’ve always loved sci-fi Illustrations and lettering from that time and have always wanted to have an excuse to execute a project in that style. Well, here we go, perfect project for this style! Next, I needed a visual concept, and I came up with the idea of open book spaceships. Silly, but effective I hope! This was a blast to create and such a cool project to be a part of.
